With the alumina red mud being of high temperature (about 90℃) and high viscosity, when using chamber or chamber membrane filter press, the moisture content in the filter cake was more 33% and the heat reduced the life span of the polypropylene filter plate, which need to be changed once a year. After using CJZJ highly efficient and automatic filter press, the moisture content in the filter cake was less than 25% and the life span of the filter plate was prolonged to more than 5 year.
